Bill Kristol promised an independent candidate would emerge today, on Memorial Day, but it appears that didn’t happen. There are 10 other hilariously awful Predictions Bill has made:

Biden running in 2015:

Biden’s running mate announce in July 2015:

Yes, there will be a female NY Senator on the 2016 Dem ticket. But it will be Kirsten Gillibrand, as Joe Biden’s VP pick.

Rand Paul would beat Trump in Iowa:

No candidate would get the required delegates:

Prediction: Neither party will nominate either of the the top two candidates in the polls. Not Trump or Carson, not Clinton or Sanders.

Rubio would win New Hampshire:

Ben Sasse would be part of the “Later Day Republicans”:

Hillary would beat Obama in 2008, and he puts his career on the line for it:

Kristol won a lot of mock-awards for this one. More than a year before the 2008 Democratic Iowa caucuses, Kristol had the self-confidence todeclare that Hillary Clinton would win the party’s nomination withoutany fight from John Edwards and a guy named Barack Obama.

“Barack Obama is not going to beat Hillary Clinton in a single Democratic primary. I’ll predict that right now,” he claimed.

Okay then. Perhaps that unwarranted self-assurance and perpetual underestimation of Obama was partially what led to the GOP’s inability to beat the guy come November 2008.
