Supreme Court hands Trump win on banning aide to all migrants seeking green card
President Trump may be getting impeached in the Senate, but down the street, the President got good news in the Supreme Court. 5-4 ruling says he can ban green cards to anyone receiving government aide.
This is #yuge news for the President as he faces a major challenge to power: the impeachment.
Associate Justices Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas wrote separately to make the case that federal district court judges should not be permitted to issue such nationwide injunctions anymore.
“The rise of nationwide injunctions may just be a sign of our impatient times,” Gorsuch wrote. “But good judicial decisions are usually tempered by older virtues.”
