Buttigieg Put Fake Applause On A Clip From Town Hall

Buttigieg put fake applause on a clip from his debate on CNN.

The Democratic candidate aptly known as Mayor Pete is being criticized from taking video from the CNN Town Hall he debated in, and adding applause after something he said, which didn’t actually happen.

“To me, that is not just a concern for our generation, it’s a concern that calls on us to build an alliance among generations to try to make sure that the future really is better than the past,” Said Mayor Pete Buttigieg on the clip, in response to a question from an audience member at the New Hampshire event.

While in the clip distributed by the campaign audience members burst into applause, in real life the opposite happened; his response did not invoke any kind of response from the live audience.

The Center For Democracy Action was the first to point out the ruse. The Center For Democracy Action is a group that supports Bernie Sanders.
