If We Don’t Return To Liberty, Capitalism, And Nonintervention, History Shows We’re Doomed
Right now we are going against every principle that made America a great country and world super power.
The founding fathers warned against laws that violated the liberty of citizens. They warned against meddling in the affairs of other nations. And they warned against straying from the ecomomic principles laid out by Adam Smith in Wealth of Nations, the blueprint for free market capitalism.
Right now we do none of this, and started straying from it over 100 years ago. So many laws violate liberty and personal responsibility with more passed each decade, most Americans arguably don’t even know what real American liberty even is.
Both conservatives and liberals do it, no matter who is in control. Essays could be written for days on what has gone wrong to get our lack of liberties to this point.
Every time politicians are elected, instead of looking at whhat liberties to restore, they look to other states on what new liberties they can remove.
as for capitalism, american edgy teens love complaining about it, but no economic book on capitalism meets what we are. Capitalism is not endless corporate commercial shopping plazas and residential housing with nothing in between. Sadly based on our political leaders’ policy decisions every year, it could be argued that they don’t know what capitalism is either.
as for non intervention, that’s considered a dirty word called isolationism. Critics will argue world war 2 all the time, without bothering to mention that if we hadn’t gotten involved in world war 1, world war 2 likely never would have happened.
America has no one trying to instill its values. It has lost it’s way. And now, it’s faced with two mobs of vandals on opposing sides who don’t adhere to any of American virtues.
America is on life support, and neither anyone the Democrats have offered or the Republicans have offered would fully restore it.
