Rent Control Causes NYC 1 Bedrooms To Skyrocket To $2980 A Month
New York City has giant rats, congested traffic, cramped public transit systems, and noise pollution. Now it has 1 bedroom apartments for $3000 a month. Thats right, as of the city of New York didn’t have enough problems, it now has 1 beds that cost a living soul. It’s a stark reminder of the failure of liberal policies in a city that once was the gem of civilization.
New York City also, not surprisingly, is the most regulated and socialist city in America.
The info was released by real estate website Zumper. According to Zumper, Median rent for one-bedrooms in New York City grew 4.6 percent last month, reaching $2,980—the highest it has been in at least three years, the report from Zumper says. In terms of two-bedroom apartments, they grew at an even higher rate of 5.1 percent, reaching $3,300.
New York City has ironically passed every liberal policy in the books over the last 15 years. But every policy they enact, things seem to get worse. They have legalized illegal aliens and invited them to the city. They have passed taxes and laws that make NYC a terrifying place to be a developer. And they have strict rent control laws that are the worst in the country. But still, the city plummets into a worse state of affairs every year.
