New York Times Calls Muslim Molotov Throwing Lawyer an “activist” for the “oppressed.”
The New York Times has not wasted time trying to come out in defense of the terror lawyer of Brooklyn. An article by two reporters, Nicole Hong and William Rashbaum, came out today defending the domestic terrorist. Urooj Rahman, the daughter of islamic immigrants, was arrested along with another Brooklyn lawyer named Colin Mattis for allegedly throwing a molotov cocktail through the window of a police car. Their lawyer has even all but fully acknowledged their guilt in court on top of it. The duo were arrested during rioting, released on $250,000 bail, then had their bail pulled when prosecutors successfully argued that they were a risk to the community.
The New York Times has since rushed their defense, writing an unusually long article attempting to explain their behavior and humanize them for their audience. Even worse, the New York Times said that they were deep rooted in activism and advocates for the systematically oppressed.
Urooj herself was born in Pakistan, though she grew up in Brooklyn.
The article goes on and on about the two terrorists. They even end it with a quote about Urooj’s accomplice Colin Mattis, saying “We need Colin in the struggle, but not what he is alleged to be doing.”
