Roger stone prosecutors resigned
The Federal prosecutors in Washington that requested the judge to sentence Mr. President Donald Trump’s campaign adviser Roger Stone to serve between seven or nine years in prison after his conviction on obstruction charges have all resigned from the case.
The prosecutors that resigned were Jonathan Kravis, Adam Jeb, Robert Mueller, and S.J. Zelinsky. Unofficially, there’s talk of Mike Marando also reassigning from this case.
The Justice Dept called the prosecutors’ request to add 7 or 9 years to the sentence of Mr. Stone excessive and disproportionate to Stone’s offenses.
Mr. Stone will be sentenced next week in court. He was convicted in November of a seven-count indictment that accused him of lying to the congress in regards to the fake Russian connection between the Trump campaign in 2016. Even though there was no evidence in regard to the Russian connection, there was evidence regarding many dirty secrets to the political adversary of Trump, Hillary Clinton.
Mr. President called the situation regarding Roger Stone a miscarriage of justice.
